How to use it
- Pick your pool's shape.
- Measure length, width, and average depth in feet (average the shallow and deep ends for depth).
- Use the gallon estimate in every other calculator on the site.
How pool volume is calculated
Volume in gallons is the surface area × average depth × 7.48 (gallons per cubic foot). For a rectangle that's length × width × depth; round and oval pools use the radius. Average depth means exactly that — add the shallow-end and deep-end depths and divide by two.
